Procurement of Maintenance and Repair Services

for our location in Lucerne.

Your Role

• Carrying out the procurement of maintenance and repair services
• Planning and securing the required workshop capacities and ensuring the availability of spare parts and wheelsets through spare parts and wheelset management, respectively with workshops possessing refurbishment expertise
• Price and condition negotiations (e.g. according to service catalogue)
• Requesting price lists and hourly rates from workshops; close cooperation with revision planning and sales regarding workshop capabilities and capacities
• Ensuring commissioning and monitoring of workshop services
• Evaluation of maintenance and repair service providers
• Travel activity (locations Lucerne and Hamburg, workshop visits) approx. 30%

Your Profile

• Completed vocational training, preferably in a technical field, as well as procurement-specific further education (e.g. purchasing specialist, purchasing manager)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (FH/University) as well as procurement-specific further education
• Further training in contract law is an advantage
• Several years of experience in operational and/or strategic procurement, ideally in the area of maintenance/repair of freight wagons
• Proven and very good knowledge in the field of freight wagons as well as in the international railway environment
• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form (level C1) as well as good English skills (at least level B2); additional language skills such as French, Italian or Spanish are an advantage
• Good communication and negotiation skills with a professional appearance and clear expression
• Very good self-organisation, reliability and structured working
• Customer orientation, teamwork and flexibility
• Stress resistance, resilience and conflict management skills, as well as confident conduct in demanding negotiations
• High commitment and result orientation
