About the job
Your tasks- Conducting psychotherapeutic assessments and treatments for gay, queer, and trans people with complex psychological and psychosocial issues
- Individual psychotherapeutic support with queer-affirmative and trauma-sensitive approaches
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with doctors, nursing staff, social counselling, and other professionals at the Checkpoint
- Participation in case discussions and joint treatment planning within the interprofessional team
- Involvement in projects and the further development of services in the area of Queer Health at the Checkpoint
What you bring
- Completed Master’s degree in Psychology as well as a federally recognised psychotherapy qualification (completed or very advanced training)
- Strong openness, sensitivity, and genuine interest in diverse life realities, especially in the context of different sexual orientations and gender identities
- Ideally experience working with queer clients or strong motivation to deepen knowledge in topics such as trans health and sexualised substance use
- Independent and responsible working style, high communication skills as well as resilience and flexibility in everyday work
- Enjoyment of direct contact with a diverse community
