Data Engineer PostgreSQL Azure

Responsibilities

• Analysis, optimisation and operation of an existing PostgreSQL landscape (100 PostgreSQL Flexible Servers, 700 databases) in the banking environment
• Assessment of the current infrastructure, identification of weaknesses, bottlenecks and optimisation potential with regard to performance, scalability and security
• Handling incidents and requests
• Development and implementation of automation solutions for deployment, configuration, scaling, monitoring, backup and recovery (Terraform, Ansible etc.)
• Implementation of best practices for performance tuning, security configurations and high availability
• Monitoring and optimisation of database performance

Requirements

• Several years of experience in the administration, optimisation and automation of PostgreSQL databases in complex and large-scale environments
• Solid experience with the Azure Cloud (PostgreSQL Flexible Server, Azure
  Monitor, Azure Backup)
• Experience in automating database processes with tools such as Terraform, Ansible or similar
• Fluent German language skills
• Good English language skills
