Do you enjoy working with numbers and value customer contact, are committed and want to actively shape your work? Then we are looking for you to strengthen our Finance and Accounting / Controlling team.

In this versatile role, you take on a central role in operational accounting. You ensure that daily business runs reliably, all tasks according to the monthly checklist are completed on time, and the financial accounting always keeps an overview even with manual processes. At the same time, you contribute to the further development of our financial processes. Under the leadership of the SAP project management and other internal partners, we continuously develop the processes in SAP S/4HANA (FI-CA and FI-CAX). Therefore, we are looking for a person who has solid practical knowledge and understands change and digitalisation as an opportunity.

What to expect with us

• Independent and professionally confident handling of ongoing financial accounting
• Ensuring timely and high-quality daily business
• Execution and monitoring of all recurring tasks according to the monthly checklist
• Processing and reconciliation of general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank, cash and other accounting processes
• Clarification of discrepancies, open items and accounting matters
• Responsibility for monthly, quarterly and annual closing tasks
• Ensuring complete, correct and comprehensible documentation of bookings and processes
• Professional responsibility for three employees in financial accounting: issuing clear work instructions as well as coordinating and tracking timely completion
• Supporting team members with professional questions and complex business cases
• Active participation in the further development and optimisation of financial processes
• Support and collaboration on cost accounting, cost centre accounting and controlling topics

What makes you successful

• Further training in finance and accounting, for example as a certified financial accountant, bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on accounting or a comparable qualification
• Several years of solid professional experience in financial accounting as well as in the professional coordination or supervision of employees
• Very confident practical knowledge in operational accounting and manual accounting processes
• Experience in independently handling monthly and closing tasks
• Very good user knowledge of ERP systems; experience with SAP S/4HANA (FI-CA, FI-CAX) is an advantage
• Understanding of cost accounting, cost centre accounting and controlling
• Interest in process optimisation, digitalisation and the further development of ERP-supported processes
• Communicative, helpful and service-oriented personality
• Confident and professional appearance towards various internal stakeholders
• Very good German or French skills with good knowledge of the other language
