Who we are

Glarus is a dynamic, cosmopolitan and culturally interesting municipality where it is good to live, work and enjoy. As a uniquely versatile employer, the municipality of Glarus employs over 350 staff. The maintenance service is responsible for the operation, upkeep and preservation of value of public infrastructure as well as green spaces within the municipal area. Due to upcoming retirements, we are looking for motivated employees who would like to further develop the maintenance service together with us.

Your tasks

• Care and maintenance of public green and park areas
• Care of trees, shrubs, hedges and flower beds
• Mowing, planting and maintenance work
• Operation of machines and equipment in green maintenance
• Participation in redesigns and new installations
• Support of the depot team in seasonal work and winter service
• Co-responsibility for a well-kept local image of the municipality

What you bring

• Completed vocational training, preferably in gardening or landscaping or in a craft profession
• Enjoyment of working outdoors and interest in green maintenance
• Independent, reliable and responsible way of working
• Team spirit and flexibility
• Technical understanding and enjoyment of working with machines
• Driving licence category B (trailer test advantageous)
