You can contribute in this role

  • Independently conduct criminal proceedings for violations of the Money Gaming Act in German and French – from routine matters to complex major cases
  • Be responsible for criminal investigations under administrative criminal law from initiation to conclusion and order, organise and lead coercive measures, especially house searches, in close cooperation with the police
  • Clarify facts in a targeted and efficient manner, collect and evaluate evidence in a structured way, especially prepare and conduct interviews
  • Precisely draft and issue orders and criminal decisions and support the enforcement of final decisions
  • Convincingly represent the ESBK in proceedings before all judicial instances in German and French

  • Completed studies in law
  • Several years of experience in criminal law and great enthusiasm for criminal prosecution
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex facts, analyse them in a structured manner and assess them legally precisely
  • Clear written communication skills and solution-oriented working style

  • Very good active knowledge of two official languages

You take responsibility in demanding criminal proceedings and represent the ESBK at all stages of the proceedings up to the highest judicial instances. With your legal expertise, you make a significant contribution to the consistent and effective enforcement of the Money Gaming Act.

The Secretariat of the Swiss Casinos Commission (ESBK) prosecutes offences under the Money Gaming Act, exercises direct supervision over casinos and levies the casino tax. The ESBK is independent. Administratively, it is assigned to the Federal Department of Justice and Police (FDJP).
