About the job

IT Supporter Mac/Windows 80–100 % (Bern)

Werkflow GmbH, a small IT service provider in Bern, is looking for you if you calmly and kindly assist users. You know Mac or Windows, and you will familiarise yourself with the other system with us.

Why this job is good

  • You support SMEs in the Bern, Thun and Solothurn region, which you get to know personally over time: architectural firms, advertising agencies, foundations in the educational sector, companies with 5 to 150 workstations.
  • No one-way street. Today tickets and remote maintenance, tomorrow on site with a system technician, later you also accompany more complex projects.
  • No jump into the cold water. We train you step by step and no one throws a ticket over the fence and disappears. Questions are welcome with us, not just tolerated.
  • A company vehicle for customer assignments, private use possible.

What you specifically do

  • Receive requests by phone and ticket system and solve them in first and second level, often by remote maintenance.
  • Set up workstations, commission devices, support users during onboarding and offboarding. Manage our customers' devices with FileWave, our client management system for Mac and Windows.
  • Support on-premises environments as well as Microsoft 365.
  • Document so that your team knows what is going on and you still do in three months.

What you bring

  • You know Mac or Windows well enough to help users, set up devices and narrow down errors. You bring curiosity for the other system.
  • Whether your knowledge comes from an IT apprenticeship (IT specialist EFZ, ICT specialist EFZ, IT practitioner EBA), from professional experience or whether you found your way into IT by another path is less important to us than the ability.
  • You remain friendly even when everything is stuck at the customer and keep an overview with several open tickets. You are not alone: in the team we help each other, even when it gets stressful.
  • Confident German in spoken and written form is necessary, French is a plus.
  • Driving licence category B is an advantage; if you do not have it yet, we support you in obtaining it.

What we give you

  • A salary that matches experience and skills, for career changers as well as long-standing supporters. We talk openly about numbers in the interview. In addition, a favourable pension fund.
  • Regular working hours and five weeks of holiday. On-call and weekend assignments, for example for system changes or maintenance windows, occur but remain the exception. And holidays are holidays: clean handover, then you are really away. Your mobile phone is private and stays private. Calls are made via the company number.
  • A small team where we meet each other at eye level, among ourselves and with customers.
  • A workplace in the south of Bern, with parking spaces and good public transport connections.
