Head of Workshop (m/f/d) - Member of the Extended Executive Management
YOUR TASKS - WHAT DRIVES YOU WITH USIn this key role, you bear overall responsibility for the management, control and further development of the workshop. You ensure that our construction sites are reliably, economically and safely supported with machines, equipment, vehicles, operating materials and services.
You lead the area entrepreneurially over two hierarchical levels with a total of around 70 people, specifically promote employees, develop processes and digital work tools further and ensure a powerful, efficient and service-oriented operation. You are responsible for the entire lifecycle of procurement, management and liquidation of the entire inventory – from construction machines, equipment and vehicles to operating materials.
Your area of responsibility also includes controlling costs and services, reporting, internal billing as well as debtor and creditor processes. You create transparency through key figures and controlling and ensure quality, occupational safety, health protection, environmental protection as well as machine and operating equipment safety.
In this function, you work closely with the construction sites, construction areas and internal specialist departments as well as the responsible persons in the sister companies of the Marti Group. You review contracts and approvals and participate in area-relevant procurement and investment decisions.
YOUR PROFILE - WHAT YOU BRING
You are an entrepreneurially minded leader with technical understanding, organisational strength and a good sense of the requirements of an operational construction company. You think networked, act pragmatically and effectively coordinate people, processes and resources. You have completed a technical basic education, ideally supplemented by technical further training – for example as a master craftsman, mechanical engineer, civil engineer or engineer in a comparable technical field. Business and/or leadership-related further training rounds off your profile.
In addition, you bring several years of experience in a comparable leadership position and know the requirements for construction site processes, machines, equipment, vehicles, warehouse management and internal service processes. Your leadership experience, cost, quality and safety awareness as well as clear, target group-appropriate communication are important to us. You use the scope of design entrusted to you responsibly to optimise processes and actively drive the further development of the company.
In addition, you bring experience in change and digitalisation projects, which you specifically apply in the introduction of our new ERP system.
