The Age Foundation is committed to sustainable solutions that enable older people – especially in vulnerable phases of life – to live self-determined lives. The focus is on innovative approaches in the areas of care at the interface of health and social affairs, housing and mobility, as well as palliative care. The foundation carries out fundamental work, sets thematic impulses, supports selected projects and initiates strategic partnerships.

Communications Officer 50–60%

You make knowledge visible.

We are looking for a strong communicator who, together with the managing director, will further develop the communication of the Age Foundation. You will sharpen our communicative profile, make social issues, our projects, publications and findings visible, and develop new formats for knowledge transfer.

Your tasks

• Further development and implementation of the Age Foundation's communication strategy
• Editing newsletters and the annual report
• Writing texts for various formats and channels (newsletter contributions, website, social media and media)
• Managing the various formats and communication channels
• Developing new communication formats for knowledge transfer

What you bring

• University / university of applied sciences degree or comparable training in communication, journalism or a related field
• Several years of practical experience in communication and public relations, preferably in the Swiss foundation, health or social sector
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (native German speaker) as well as the ability to prepare complex content in an understandable and target group-appropriate manner
• Digital communication competence (experience with websites, content management systems as well as development and implementation of a social media strategy, among others)
• Experience with social issues related to ageing
