The Bern-Mittelland Regional Conference RKBM is the development agency for the Bern-Mittelland region. It is committed to future-oriented, inter-municipal solutions – for the benefit of over 420,000 residents. In the RKBM, 74 municipalities work together in partnership and make binding decisions on regional issues in the areas of spatial planning, transport, culture, regional policy, energy consulting, and economy. The professional and political work is coordinated at the office.

The office serves as a hub for the entire RKBM. It provides various services such as communication, advocacy, finance, controlling, reporting, and administration for the bodies (Regional Assembly, Management, and Commissions) as well as the specialist departments.
The advertised position - in the office staff area - is responsible for the accounting and personnel administration of the RKBM.

We are looking for a committed individual from 1 March 2027 or by arrangement as

Finance and HR Officer (50–60%)

Your main tasks
► Independent management of the accounting (including annual financial statements) of the RKBM
► Preparation of the budget, financial plan, and annual accounts together with management
► Calculation of the annual municipal contributions (including invoicing)
► Invoicing to the canton and third parties (subsidy accounting)
► Support of the specialist departments in financial matters
► Independent processing of payroll and master data and insurance matters (including salary payment)
► Ensuring competent, customer-friendly internal and external support

Requirements
You have completed a commercial apprenticeship and have experience in public administration accounting (HRM). Qualified knowledge in the use of MS Office and other IT applications (Sage, Vertec) complete your profile. You work precisely, responsibly, and reliably. As a friendly and cheerful personality, you convince through your team and cooperation skills as well as through a service-oriented and independent working style.
