On behalf of the Health, Social and Integration Directorate (GSI), the Unemployment Insurance Office (AVA), the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) and other partners, SAH Bern offers a wide range of services in the areas of professional and social integration. In addition, SAH Bern acts as the external reporting office for the federal asylum centres on behalf of the SEM.

Leadership Personality (60 – 80%) as Department Head and Executive Board Member
Work locations: Bern and Thun
The position is initially limited until 31 December 2027 (with the option of permanent employment)

Your Tasks
- Personnel, professional and business management, support of the specialist departments
- Leadership, planning and organisation of the specialist departments
- Development of strategy, operational goals and action plans
- Professional and strategic responsibility for assigned services/programmes
- Conceptual design and further development of existing and new services/projects in collaboration with internal and external partners as well as acquisition
- Co-responsibility for the budget as well as responsibility for administration, controlling and quality assurance in the individual services
- Collaboration with clients, authorities and partner organisations
- Active participation in the executive management and other specialist groups/committees
Your Skills
- Completed basic education, further education at tertiary level, preferably in the social and/or business administration field, additional training in leadership and management
- Expert knowledge and several years of experience in the areas of labour market integration, job placement, adult education and coaching, as well as migration/asylum
- Several years of leadership experience with decision-making authority as well as project experience
- Organisational talent and a high degree of independence
- Flexible, resilient and confident negotiator with high social competence and strong communication and expression skills
